Winter Soldier x Reader (30)It was too much to handle.kawaiinothing
It felt like being a passenger in your own body. As you advanced on your target, your body moved on its own instinct. Lucky for him, the target ducked as you swung the combat knife at his head, following with a series of attacks blocked by his shield. This man was your enemy. The doctor told you so, and you would obliterate him for it. The voice biting through your head wouldn’t stop.
Attack, attack, attack, attack, attack.
There was no choice. You did as the voice told you, hitting him and working to get the knife in a place where it’d kill him. It happened that way, attack after attack after attack. How strange it seemed, that this was hurting you more than it seemed to be hurting your opponent; though he did look quite pained.
“(F/n)!” The target cried. His voice was desperate. You wondered who he was calling for. Though the thought didn’t last long, because a jolt of pain penetrated your arm as he broke it with that sh
Winter Soldier x Reader (29)Steve Rogers looked down at the hidden base from the window of the jet. It didn’t look very big at all. Hopefully, all would go well. If you were even still alive. But there had to be hope, right? A chance?kawaiinothing
“All armed agents need to report to the door and prepare for combat immediately.” Natasha’s voice came grimly over the quiet jet intercom. Around him, willing agents unbuckled their belts and went to the door. They were all doing it for SHIELD. But Steve? He was doing it for you... and for Bucky.
They didn’t leave you alone. You weren’t sure that you wanted them to, either. All the nice doctors gave you medicine and finally gave you blankets. They gave you little bowls of what they called ‘oatmeal’ too. But sometimes, you got horrible feelings. Feelings that there was more than black and white, more than being called the ‘hope’. But then the feeling would pass and you would be okay. This was your life.
Shadow of the Moon: Chapter 15ZathrasRevenge
Pale in the Light
His eyes drooped and his feet stepped numbly over smooth stone. Bilbo was having no luck finding a place to rest for the night or the Orcess – who had vanished. All the doors were sealed shut or guarded by stoic elves. The hobbit sighed, rubbing his eyes with an invisible hand. This ring was wearing down his energy faster than normal.
The suspended pathway he walked on merged into solid rock. Hallways were placed throughout the mountain walls, creating a hive like feel. There was a door cut into the first stretch of stone, a little sign with golden needle and thread hung on the doorframe. Bilbo pursed his lips, perhaps it was a seamstress’s shop.
He tiptoed up to the open door. A warm smoky smell mixed with the scent of fresh linens and fabric filtered out. The hobbit breathed deep through his nose, it reminded him of his mother’s sewing room.
Before he had the chance to enter, an elf came out of the room, her flowing eme
Winter Soldier x Reader: Oblivion (Prologue)The night was silent. Inky black clouds broiled in the sky, blotting out the moon and stars. The air around you was thick with a sort of tension that heated summer nights like this seemed to come with. In the distance, flames burned, casting a red haze across the sky. But why?Zephyros22
Your companion carried another on his back, the red head had not yet woken from her unconscious state. You carried the man's shield on your right hand, tired eyes trying to focus on the empty road ahead of you.
Your foot caught on a stray stone, sending you stumbling forward. You quickly righted yourself, glancing back at the blonde, who gave you a silent look of question. You gave a small nod in return, eyes looking forward down the road.
“We need to find somewhere to crash” He muttered loud enough to hear. “We won't get back to DC in this shape.”
You nodded, murmuring an agreement before continuing to walk down the deserted road. It was several minutes bef
Shadow of the Moon: Chapter 14ZathrasRevenge
Ithildae's jaw was slackened for a moment. After the many years she had served with them, taught them to deal with the spiders and her efforts to rid the forest of darkness, they arrested her for guiding a group of dwarves. Tauriel was looking coldly at her, expecting the Orcess to surrender.
“Do not be difficult,” Tauriel muttered to Ithildae.
“You are arresting me, why wouldn’t I be?” She hissed back.
“Bind her,” Legolas said, glaring at the captain and the Orcess.
Two nearby elves came forward, their bows drawn at her back. It was easy to see the fear in their eyes – the Orcess was trained by their king and captain of the guard. As one came forward with rope the other had an arrow pointed at her head. Ithildae's hand went to the dagger on her thigh, a snarl on her lips.
“No,” Tauriel ordered. “Do not bind her. She will not act out.”
Ithildae relaxed slightly
